Our club is supporting the Rotary District 5340 Youth Instrumental Music Competition and invites members to attend our local evening competition round. Student musicians will perform, and our club will select two students to advance to the next level of the district competition, with our support.

President-Elects are treated to an amazing weekend of leadership skills training and inspirational speakers in preparation for their upcoming club presidencies. By invitation only with advance reservations.

Carlsbad Rotary Club will be throwing a Prom Dance Party fo seniors attending the Carlsbad Senior Center -- this is a joint effort with the Sage Creek InterAct Club.  The theme is Starry Night -  “think- stars, silver, gold, black, navy, glittery things”.

The event will start at 1pm in the Auditorium, but we need volunteers to help set-up and decorate from 11am - 1pm and also to help with the photo booth and other activites during the event.  Our very own Mario will be DJing and we encourage everyone to attend and enjoy hanging out with our seniors and supporting the event. Ray Pearson is bringing mentors and mentees from CHS together to talk about this valuable program. We will hear about how these partnerships are preparing high school students for the world beyond graduation.

We will also be hearing from a young student entrepreneur who has created an intriguing game and is trying to get it to market.

Mary and Bob Meigs have been supporting this amazing school for years, through their Foundation, but also through personal student mentoring and hands-on help at the school. Find out why this school, that serves underprivileged students, has such an outstanding reputation and why its students have a graduation and subsequent success rate that exceeds the results of standard public schools.

Also -- come to hear our exchange student, Fem Govers, recap her year in Carlsbad. She'll be returning home soon afterwards, so this is your chance to wish her bon voyage.

There is something for every member at the district training assembly. 

Very important if you are a board member.

Essential that we have at least two people doing the grants training. We cannot get district or global grants if we don't have people training here!

Provide and serve food to underprivileged at Holiday Park.

Eliot Weitz will lend us his expertise and experience in avoiding internet scams. Come learn how to protect your identity and your assets.

Sunset is at about 7:30 now, so let's take advantage of the beautiful afternoon.

Join fellow RCC members at the beach stairs north of Carlsbad Village Drive. We'll walk for up to an hour, collecting beach trash (if any). Then reward ourselves at Norte at 6:30 in the bar for happy hour or dinner.

Can't wait to hear about this organization! Their mission is to inspire, educate, and empower system-affected and homeless youth to achieve academic success through music education, sound engineering and multimedia production.

This is our big project. An epic project... where we will build 20 beds for Carlsbad/North County kids who don't have them. Some of them are sleeping with their parents or with siblings. Let's give them a good night's sleep! Get excited to make a big impact!

We will be cutting wood, sanding, staining, drilling. If hands-on work like this is not for you, you can still help by donating twin size sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows. 
Bring to any Rotary meeting prior to May 16. 

Sign ups will be limited to 50 people total between our club and the Hi-Noon Rotary. I know this will be a popular project, so we will have to limit to Rotary members only at this time. Look for the sign-up link coming soon.

This is the craniofacial clinic in Tecate that our club has participated in for a number of years. The spring clinic always starts the third Thursday in May. Dave Tweedy and Jan Zachry are the mainstays of this clinic. Others who would like to attend need to inform Dave two weeks in advance so that he can arrange appropriate job duties.

This paella festival is a fundraiser for Rotary Club of Tecate. Enjoy paella, wine, music in at in beautiful Tecate. So much fun!!

Deliver books and goods to Niños de Baja in the morning.
