Join us for our first Sip & Service event, combining fellowship, fun, and community impact. We'll gather at Weir Beer, one of our valued Carlsbad Wine & Food Festival partners (home of the memorable "Haterade"), while supporting local nonprofit Words Alive!

Arrive anytime between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM to socialize and enjoy time with fellow Rotarians. The service project will begin at 6:00 PM, when we'll assemble learning kits for children and families served by Words Alive!

A food truck will be on site for those who would like to purchase dinner or snacks. Rotary will provide all materials needed for the service project; food and beverages will be the responsibility of each attendee

Sara Vaz, Director of Business Development for the CSUSM College of Business Administration, will share how the university is partnering with local businesses to prepare the next generation of leaders through experiential learning and community engagement.

John Van Cleef, CEO of Community Resource Center (CRC), will share how one of North County's leading nonprofits is addressing hunger, homelessness, and domestic violence while building stronger, more resilient communities.

They will prepare small bites for us. We can bring our own wine or beer and plastic glasses.  Need RSVPs so that they can prepare, cost will be $23 per person, look for invite from clubrunner

9:30am -11:30am, meet at Pure Project (2825 State Street), bring reusable gloves and trash grabbers if you have them; Self guided clean-up walk around Carlsbad Village (can leave whenever you need to)

Join us in continuing the effort to keep Carlsbad Village clean!

Alongside our partners Handel's Ice Cream and Pure Project we continue our clean up efforts in 2026 and renew our promise to help keep our community litter free. With the help of re-purposed buckets from Handel's and re-purposed grain bags from Pure Project we are able to use less plastic and ensure that our clean ups don't add more waste to the environment. Now, if we could just find a solution for plastic gloves! 

September 19th - in partnership with I Love a Clean SD, hosted by Lily Field Realty

6:15-8:30pm, bring food and serve, need ~10 volunteers to prepare food and serve the attendees.

Hospice of the North Coast will join us to share the important work they do supporting patients and families in our community, including their unique partnership in Africa.

Our own Rotary member Lisa Rodman from the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation will also give us an update on the latest happenings at the Lagoon.

Chef Josh Korn, founder of the nonprofit Goodness In + Goodness Out, will share how food can transform lives by inspiring underserved youth through culinary education, mentorship, and community service.

Kim Chavez, Mally Mancilla, and Paul Cevolani of VETS – Beyond the Uniform will share how their nonprofit is helping veterans and military spouses successfully transition into civilian careers through coaching, mentoring, training, and employer partnerships

Halloween Social at the Meigs and we will be joined by DG Bakke and a few dignitaries from international clubs

Women’s Empowerment International

Sophie Pauken from Women’s Empowerment International will share how the organization helps women build brighter futures through entrepreneurship, financial education, and access to resources—creating lasting change for women, their families, and their communities.

Join us for a night of fellowship and giving thanks. The hotel will be serving us a Thanksfiving meal and we'll spend the evening socializing

Jake Viramontez is a documentary filmmaker and founder of SOWN (Storytelling for Social Good), a nonprofit that creates films for nonprofits around the world. His work has taken him to more than 50 countries, using powerful storytelling to inspire action, generosity and positive change.

Joey Landwehr – Broadway San Diego

Joey Landwehr is an award-winning actor, director and arts educator who serves as Education & Outreach Associate for Broadway San Diego and Artistic Director of the Broadway San Diego Awards. A former New York actor and director with experience on and off Broadway and at Carnegie Hall, Joey now focuses much of his work on arts education and creating opportunities for young people to experience and participate in live theatre throughout San Diego County.

Join fellow Rotarians as we support Lifeline Community Services’ annual Adopt-A-Family program, helping receive and organize holiday gifts for local families in need.

Join us for our last meeting of the year where we celebrate the holidays as a "club family" before we spend the next several weeks away from club activities to spend value time with our friends and family
