Vocational Service

The Vocational Service committee is dedicated to supporting career training and counsel for young persons in North County San Diego.

Vocational Service committee projects include:

1. Providing professional speakers, internships and job shadowing opportunities for local high school and college students

2. Supporting students in development of professional resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles

3. Offering mock interview sessions for students; coaching and mentoring to strengthen interviewing skills and boost confidence

4. Inviting speakers from local colleges and educational institutions to Rotary meetings to provide members with insights and perspectives on new developments and opportunities in vocational training

5. Participation in RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards)

6. Supporting AVID program (Advancement via Individual Determination) at CUSD Middle Schools

7. Supporting Rotary LEAD Program (Leadership, Ethics, Aspirations, Determination) for 8th graders
