This past week, Margherita (Pippi) Nasi, a former Carlsbad Rotary Youth Exchange Student traveled from Italy to visit the Rotary Club of Carlsbad.
Dear Carlsbad Rotary Club,
I’m on the plane on my way back home. It has been a dream week in Carlsbad. Four years ago, I had the greatest adventure of my life thanks to your club. I have not only made my second family here, I have also made the best friends I could ask for. During this week, I have realized that my exchange year was successful not just for the effort I have made, but also for the support your club gave me. In fact, I consider my families not only who actually hosted me, but all those people who spent their time to help me and to make me feel like home. To me, Carlsbad Rotary Club is home.
Four years ago, I left without knowing I had to wait for so long to come back. I will come back!
