The Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI) is one of only nine Official Service Partners of Rotary International because of a strong, shared commitment to global, grassroots and community-centered peacebuilding. The working group of both Mediators Beyond Borders and Rotary International is a vehicle for advancing the common goals of both organizations. The group aims to build a working relationship from the local club to global leadership. This collaboration promotes common work in projects, advocacy initiatives, and international meetings of both organizations. Also, MBBI facilitates community mediation and social cohesion. Destructive polorization is a problem threatening our communities and our clubs. We can rely on shared values to build models for fostering social cohesion and positive peace in our clubs, communities and around the world. Mediators Beyond Borders International was one of many programs presented at the Rotary International Convention in Singapore in May 2024. The Rotary Club of Carlsbad is honored to have Mediators Beyond Borders International as a program not to miss.

This social is one not to be missed. It will be fun and exciting for all. The event is tagged as a  "Varietal Challenge". 

Rotary Club of Escondidio Centennial Celebration event is welcoming Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick as their guest speaker. The event is at the California Center for the Arts Escondido. This event presents a unique opportunity for District 5340 Rotarians to not only honor Rotary's dedication to Escondido but also to meet and listen to Stephanie Urchick.

Event starts at the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park

Per tradition, the Rotary Club of Carlsbad members and guests will a fun filled evening at TK's home decorated with all the festive Holloween paraphernalia including witches screaming, monsters lurking and leaping and much more. 

District 5340 will be hosting the Annual Foundation Seminar. Join in for an exhilarating look at the power of giving and its impact in our communities and abroad! Attendance if free of charge. The seminar welcomes all Rotarians, Rotaractors and Rotary enthusiasts.

Join us this Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th, at the Army and Navy Academy's Bliss Stadium in Carlsbad to honor all who have served in our Armed Forces. The Rotary Club of Carlsbad is co-hosting a Veterans Day Military Review with the Academy. The program includes a presentation by Colonel George J. Plys, Brigade Commander of the 8th Brigade, U.S. Army Cadet Command, a wreath laying ceremony, and a flyover by the Salute Formation Flying team.

All are welcome for this free community event, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Thanks to our long-time Rotarian and honorary member Dr. Jeff Moses, the Rotary Club of Carlsbad has played a crucial role in supporting Tecate Smiles which organizes and provides free surgical care for underprivileged children in Tecate who have deformities such as cleft lip and ceft palate. In the US and Mexico, one in every 650 children has a cleft deformity. If left untreated, the deformity can cause dental problems, speech difficulties, inability to eat and the children can become social outcasts. Rotarians form the fabric by which this project is sustained. Donating your time and resources to Tecate Smiles, will change these children's lives.

Our Club member Jan Zachry spent a good part of August 2024 in Africa as a nurse in the outback. Jan plans to share with members her experience, with a team of personnel, providing medical care to the people in African Villages.

Join us as we assemble hygiene kits for our community (which will be distributed by Interfaith Carlsbad).  There is no theme this time, but this will be a potluck event so you will be assigned to bring a main dish, salad/side, or dessert for approximately 6 people based on the first letter of your last name.  The meeting will be at the Meigs house who have graciously volunteered to host.  There will be outdoor patio seating with heaters as well as seating in the dining room and/or morning room for those who want to sit inside.

Note: Coffee, Tea, and Water will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your beverage of choice.

Wellness Revolution: The role of Daily Healing and AI in lasting change.

Daily healing is at the core of personal transformation, but lifestyle changes are tough. This talk explores how AI and mobile technology can make them more achievable.

Past Club Member Dr. Jeff Moses will share the history and details of craniofacial treatments including cleft lip and palate that he, his team of doctors and nurses provide to children of families living in Tecate and Cabo San Lucas. As most of you know many members of our Club, have and will continue to, volunteer twice a year to assist in this effort.

The Rotary Club of Encinitas's annual fundraiser "Rotary Creates Magic" will be on March 8, 2025, 7:00 pm. The Club is collaborating with other Rotary Clubs in North County  including the Rotary Club of Carlsbad sharing 50% of the ticket price. Saundra Cima has facilitated the San Diego Honor Flight program for many years. Saundra will share how local Veterans from past wars and conflicts join one another and fly to Washington D.C. for a weekend to participate in Veterans  events honoring their service.

The evening begins at 5:30 pm at Gregorio's Restaurant

Please join us for an extraordinary concert. Six amazing student musicians from all over the District will perform, as they vie for top prize in this year's District 5340 RYIMC. From piano to strings to jazz to percussion, we've heard inspiring music of every sort this year, and our untimate concert is not to be missed!
